Can someone tell me the model path for the tree in DK's and Zurg's cinematics? The WE trees look gay. Thanks. |

thats a tree stripped from the ne campaign screen. PM exn about it |

Nah sorry, I know you might find it gay but I asked eXN not to distribute this model too much so please don't spam his PM box about that. I have my reasons for this :) |

Why not? I'd like to use it too, and isn't it really up to exn if I can use it or not? It shouldn't be that big of a deal. |

Well, pm exn then if you must. No one is gong to stop you (except ExN himself if he wanted....) Basically what I gather is he just extracted it out of the war3.mpq since it's from the first NE campaign... |

then I think he changed it into a doodad |

...Just so everyone can get tired of the novelty of a different tree. Riiiight. Make your own model. Then protect your map. I'm tired of this. 8 maps have the model. Kinda irritating. Plus, more of the WE trees look better. ;) |

Guys guys guys, you can't CLAIM a Blizzard model emote_sweat . Damn, the whole idea behind Warcraft maps is that the bar is constantly pushed forward. If DK uses the Worldtree, and then others use the Worldtree, then this should force DK to do something different and even MORE extrordinary, not try to monopolize the damn worldtree doodad. When you limit competition you become a monopoly, and historically Monopolies grow stangnant since they never need to get any better. I'm pretty sure the Worldtree is Doodads/Ashenvalle/Worldtree/Worldtree.mdx . If not, it's close to that. Seriously DK, that was really immature and childish to do. -Insaniteus- |

I'm talking about the tree doodad that ExN ripped from the night elf glue screen. I thought that maybe DK or Zurg could give it to me. But I'll PM ExN too. |

Fine then, I guess :P Use winMPQ, and extract arbre.mdx I just wanted to keep this until part 5 is out cause I havent used it "officially" and seeing my idea used by others before I even use it looks kinda weird to me. isn't it? P.S. isn't that what I,ve been constrantly doin? Pushin the limits for every COTN part I did? |

Yeah, but what I was saying is that the only reason you'd have to limit competition is that you feared people would catch up to your skill level unless you had an unfair advantage. And at first I thought he was talking about the Worldtree, he began with "In DK and Zurg's cinematics" and the only thing I've seen was the worldtree. I figured that since he said you already used it that there wasn't any reason for you to horde it. From now on, keep your secrets better of your surprises for each part lol. if people know what you're doing before you do it then you're giving too much away. -Insaniteus- |

hehe I don't fear the fact they can catch up, cause I definitely hope they will. It gives you the need to innovate again. |

Dk: then why did u want to restrict the use of the hi res tree? emote_sweat Beam: just pm exn, he was the one who editted it so its his work until he wants to make it public. |

but part five is taking a while and you did use it in part 4. so after you use something it should be fair game. (to a certain extent):D |
