Ok I made a custom blade storm ability and gave it to a hero that used the Giant Modle. I though Blade Storm took the units and Replace it with a Spinning Modle...... But when i used it on the unit the Giant was the way he always looked and He could attack..... PLUS units around him would receve Damage even units 250 away from him that he wasnt touching would recieve damage. Thus I come to the Conclusion that BS is hardcoded to only BM modles.... If anyone has used this on other units and it has worked please post. |

BS is part of the blademasters model. Its impossible without editing the model to make another unit have BS. |

yea u can give the attack to any hero that u want, but only a blademaster model has the animation for the attack, so only he will look like hes spinning when he uses it. |

Funny. This thread is nearly the exact same question, and they came up at the same time. |

Well, you could always add caster art to signify Bladestorm, like add a Tornado. (Thats what i used when i gave the spell to a custom unit with the Demon Hunter model) |

Yeah, you could create a very very small Blademaster without Collision directly under your hero, and let him cast the spell... so it looks like a big tornado... |

Create a special effect that attach to the postion of casting unit ;) |

Nice Try Naga ;) but Bladestorm doesnt have a modle it's a totaly different spell in its self. |

If you would have read my first post, you would notice I stated the spell is part of the Bladestorm model :) |

I believe ImperialNaga was responding to BlackLotus' comment about adding a small Blademaster to recreate the effect by indicating where to add the special effect. Which wouldn't work so hot, because the effect would then also be small. Adding a Tornado or Cyclone effect to the base would work better, almost certainly. This was discussed in the other thread which covers the exact same issue and Necromancer_187, who was being referred to by BlackLotus, I believe. And not to be picky, but your first post, Pesmerga, is inaccurate. It is as if you were saying that you could not give a different unit the Bladestorm ability, and that's not true. Any unit will behave the same with the ability, but only the Blademaster will spin. |

Any suggestion on getting the Blademaster to use the Bladestorm SFX without actually using the Bladestorm skill? (I want to avoid the magic immunity) Without using the Animation - Play Animation Action. |

I found a solution myself. :) Code:
Animation - Add the Attack Walk Stand Spin animation tag to Set 0005 <gen> and remove it again when you want the animation to go away. |
