I've working on this map for some days, and finally got this beta version working =) Any idea, suggestion or comments is welcomed ^_^ Here my small guide: MTR Survival (Tower Ressistance) 1.1beta ================================= INTRODUCTION ============= This is bit mix of Dday and TD type map. But here Ressistance takes into action instead of Just Defense, Because all monsters attack buildings, and no monster attack other monsters. Only towers can attack monsters. Players: The minimun playable should be 3v3 or more. 6v6 is much more fun. 2 teams of 5 players maximun (plus 2 computer players) ROLES ====== It has 5 roles so far: - Splash Tech: Good damage, large area of effect damage, low hit points and slow firing speed. - Mage Tech: Very low damage, very fast firing speed, very low hit points (super vulnerable!), and useful spells. - Heavy Tech: Highest damage of all towers, low hit points, short range of attack and low speed of firing. - Blocker Tech: Low damage, highest hit points. - Range Tech: Good damage, longest ranges of attack, very fast firing speed and very low hit points. All roles can build blocker wall, but Blocker Tech, because their towers are blocker already! The use of blocker strategically is VERY IMPORTANT and also crucial! Mission: Resist/Defend/Survive all the incoming enemies as longer as possible! The first team that get its castle/fortress destroyed lose. The team that survives the longest wins. This map is teamwork and cooperation based-map, without cooperation you will lose within 15 minutes almost for sure. INCOME ======= It gives income every an amount of certain time. Consists of gold and wood. You also get bounty for every enemy army you kill. ARMY SPAWN ========== Armies of both forces: Both forces send armies through all 3 corridors, the main army is footman and grunts for force1 and force2, respectively. The armies being sent increase over time, and they also get stronger and stronger as the time goes... It also send stronger armies (knights and riflemen for force1 and tauren and archers for force2), but it requires builder (which human player control) in the corridor to be able to send it. The builder just need to be in the corridor (building or doing nothing) to lead out the hordes of BONUS army. BONUS ===== The BONUS is as below: 0 builder in a corridor: 0 units being sent 1 builder in a corridor: 2 knights/tauren and 2 riflemen/archers every a certain amount of time 2 builder in a corridor: 2 knights/tauren and 2 riflemen/archers 3 builder in a corridor: 4 knights/tauren and 4 riflemen/archers 4 builder in a corridor: 5 knights/tauren and 5 riflemen/archers all builder in a corridor: 7 knights/tauren and 7 riflemen/archers So, communication within teammates is the key to victory. Common Strategy: Seek out the corridor of the enemy with the weakest defense and send all the builders there... then you will have a big army BONUS in that corridor!!! HIRING ====== You can also spend wood and hire armies. Those hired armies are very helpful when sent together with all the armies. The big ones are extremely strong, but also expensive like hell. BARRACKS AND CASTLE/FORTRESS ============================== When the barrack gets destroyed, your armies in that corridor stop spawning! So, protect the barracks! (The bonus also stops for that corridor!) If your Castle/Fortress gets destroyed, your team lose. MYTHOLOGY FORCES ================ Both forces send Mythology Armies(very strong!!!) every a certain amount of time, and they increase in quantity and strenghtness! COMMON TEAMWORK WAYS ======================== Mage Tech should build behind other's towers, and cast spells to make the whole team towers stronger. Blocker Tech should build in front of all. Blocker Tech can build his unique tower, which has taunt ability. It calls all nearby enemy units to attack it, so you can absorb damage for the good of your whole team! Build Blocker Wall in front of your mates if he doesn't do so! Send or ask wood to teammates, so your team can hire some help from camps! Getting advantage of the ARMY BONUS is very important. But also be careful of enemy BONUS! and more.... COMMON STRATEGY ================== - Upgrade to Ultimates, and get the DIVINE armor as soon as you can. DIVINE armor makes difference!!! - Sell the unique just before it dies for completely (the reincarnation ability is still not able to apply again due to cooldown timing issue) - Build like this: X X X X X O O X X O O X X X X X Or: X X X X X O O X X O O X X O O X X O O X X = Blocker Wall O = Tower COMMON KNOWN HAPPENINGS ======================= - Build when the enemy armies are near to you (and you don't have other buildings near you to absorb the hits), so your building gets destroyed almost instantly (specially UNIQUE towers, since it takes longer time to be built) - Build towers and never upgrade them enough, so they are weak like hell and always gets destroyed instantly... - Gets everything destroyed and lose when the Mythology armies come.... (Build better, so it won't happen!) - A corridor without tower, but lots of blocker walls is very DANGEROUS. Because by that way, you are accumulating that corridor's enemy armies!!! If all towers gets destroy, you better let them keep walking toward the castle, because there's at least some guard tower defending there... If you accumulate too much army, then you won't be able to stop it anymore, and defeat is what awaits you. NOTES ====== - This map is very hard (impossible?) for noobs that never use hotkeys or are very slow building. - Noobs get all their tower destroy in no time. - Good players will still get tower destroyed!!!, but not all, and when it happens, they can switch from building more ahead or building on back! (They do not build just near the incoming enemies.... because the new buildings will get destroyed in no time!!!!) - Mage tech builder are more important than you can think of (if well used...). - Archers are the most problematic armies, and only divine armor towers can stop them. - Mythology armies are just very strong. But with nice blockering, you might still survive. - Many times you need to hire big armies to help you beat your enemies defense. Thanks for reading this small guide, and have fun. refreshing. Nice Idea for a TD. Just played it solo to check it out, but it has a very unique dynamic to it. Theres a few minor bugs I saw, just pricing stuff, some of the later upgrades were cheaper than early ones, typo's most likely. Other than that it looks great, 9/10. Look forward to a complete version so i can play with some friends. |

Im glad you liked it ^_^ Actually the pricing stuff is made intentionally... I guess there's no rule for this. I tried to make all techs as balanced as possible... |

Newer ver. 1.3b Added sea trees, which creates extra income of wood. Added wood bounty when killing stronger units. Some numbers reworked. |
