Can someone tell me where I can find TFT single player maps like the ROC single player maps that were located in war3.mpq. I used the MPQ editor but the maps are not in the war3x.mpq or war3xlocal.mpq files. Thanks! |

The Roc SP maps are in war3.mpq, set the filter to *.w3m. The TFT SP maps are in war3x.mpq, set the filter to *.w3x. |

No, I think the TF maps are in the war3xlocal.mpq one... Just use an MPQ Viewer or WinMPQ to search that .mpq. Just checked, and of course, I am right. :D |

I have a MPQ Viewer but it lacks TFT type data since it was made long before its time. Do I need a more current version to view the SP maps? And where can I find a newer version of the MPQ Viewer? So you're sure it's a w3x file under war3xlocal.mpq? Thanks. |

I found out the problem why I can't view it. The FT maps are all w3x, not w3m. When I go into the MPQ Viewer, it only shows the multiplayer maps, not single player. Then I went to examine the files used to open the 'war3x.mpq' file. It turns out that it requires a file called 'listfile.txt' to open it. The date on listfile indicates that it was made a year before TFT came out. So all the data in that file does not incoporate TFT. Does anyone where I can download a newer 'listfile.txt' that includes TFT stuff? If anyone has an easier way of viewing those annoying TFT SP maps, please reply. Appreciate it.:ggani: |

----------------------------------------------------------------------- Warcraft 3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1-Run winMPQ. 2-Open war3.mpq 3-Set filter to *.w3m 4-Extract whichever map you want to any directory. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Warcraft 3: The frozen throne ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1-Run winMPQ. 2-Open war3xlocal.mpq 3-Set filter to *.w3x 4-Extract whichever map you want to any directory. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: You must have winMPQ working for this. |
