Guest | Hey everyone, I was playing a game yesterday, trying out a new build order when I had an idea and i'm just wondering if either this is possible or the idea has already been used (so don't flame me lol). When I play a game my hotkeys are always the same: 1,2,3 = Attack Units, 1 being my primary, 2 being my secondary and 3 being my building attackers (ballistas/meatwagons/steam tanks/catapaults) 4 = My main building (Tree Of Life/ Necropolis/ Town Hall/ Stronghold) (I'm sorry I play NE so i may not have the buildings right but you get the picture) 5 = Altar, nuff said 6 = Main unit builder (Ancient of War/Barracks/Crypt) 7 = Upgrade Building (Hunter's Hall/Blacksmith/Graveyard) 8 = Tier 2 unit builder (Ancient of lore/Slaughterhouse/Beastiary/Workshop) 9 = Whatever else i need to hotkey Now, I use this same hotkey system for every game I play so why not have it automatically set so I don't even have to assign them I can just press that number and I already have it pre-set? (yes i'm a lazy ***, you don't have to tell me) Now because i'm not an amazing person with computers I would like to ask someone (who creates these tools) if a.) it's possible and b.) it hasn't already been done (if it has send me a link or something ;) ) so for those of you who have read this I thank you and hope to get a reply whenever! Guest | It's not a big deal, no, i was just wondering if it was possible or if it had already been done, I just hate re-doing it all the time when I use the same hotkeys in every game so i figured if it was automatically pre-set i didn't have to do it again. I'm just a lazy *** is all ;) |

Get keycraft. With it you can change the hotkeys you mentioned. www.war3files.com Get it there. Or you could go into the mpq extract the needed txt's , edit them then put them into the war3patch.mpq |

All you need is keycraft, you only have to edit files on your own if you don't use the prog, which gives you all the hotkeys you can change anyway. Only problem with the hotkeys is that you cannot change the ones for the hero item bar thingie. Not with keycraft or manually. They don't seem to exist in any file. |
