Meteor Shower Icon

Here's the first thing I've made in Photoshop. I based it off Blizzard and then just changed the icecycles into meteors and fireballs. It's for a spell called Meteor Shower in a campaign I'm making. It's not great, but it's a lot better then what I though I'd be able to do :ggani:

I can't quite figure out how to make the meteors look better. Anyone have any ideas?

Constructive crits are welcome!

EDIT: Sorry, I just realized this should prolly go in the gallery. Would a mod move it for me? :ggani:

It's ok...but I suggest making the background glow redish in color. It just doesn't look natural with the "icy" colored background and fireballs shooting around.

Updated version. It took me all weekend to figure out what it needed to look like :////

What color should I use for the background? Orange blends in too well with the fireballs... yellow ends up looking puke green... and red ends up being pink. Any ideas?

Okay, last update for some time unless someone has any ideas to improve it. I just added six shades of orange and yellow overtop of the blue and smudged it all in. At first, I didn't want the meteors to blend in with the background, but then I looked closer at the Blizzard icon and the ice does blend in the blue background, so what the hell. There's still a bit of bluish-purple where it changes from orange to black, but oh well.

BTW, the reason I updated so fast is that I hought I'd be kicked off the computer before I could get anything more done, but I wasn't so I finished the icon. :ggani:

i think you should take out the gradient background--just make it solid colour of the colour u used in bottom left
also maybe make the meteors more detailed and...sorta raw looking if u know wat i mean?they way u did it in the third one looks a little TOO raw tho.i think the trails should all be as detailed as u did right behind the middle one, close to the actual meteor
Jus some suggestiong---feel free to ignore
