Im making a smash tv map. Yes i know there are a few of them floating around, but they all seem to use the same things -heros -item shops Im making a smash TV like the Old Starcraft one, but with WC3 special things. You start as an archer, upgrade to 3 different units, branching from their classes. Mage, Archer, or Melee Those 3 classes branch again to further go into the type of unit you want. Then again, those 9 units branch one more time to further specify what you want, then they upgrade 2 times each. WHen you choose to upgrade your unit, it shows you what they are, and tells you their stats you cant see. NO heros are in this map, other then creeps that spawn for levels. There will be a loan place, sell shop, and buy new unit place, Plus secret combos of units to access(not godlike) but special units that you cant find :) How does this map sound? Ohyea, 10 Stages per level, and 5 levels. Boss levels are included, and the spawning system is totally different. For the spawning, in the beginning player 1 picks how many units spawn for levels, 50, 75, 100, 200, or 300. Boss units will spawn once of 21 units that spawn, and units that spawn never stop spawning at the same rate, until the counter reaches 0. For the spawning of units, there will never be a "i call top, i call left" because the direction they spawn is totally random. So it might be more benificiary to stick in the middle and work as a team. So... any ideas, things to add? |

hmm...well, really, I'd like to see a smash tv map like the classic smash tv. Where you could get items to boost your score, change your weapon type, etc. And where in the end you could choose different paths with some paths turning into the bonus lvl stacked full of stuff. Plus, perhaps a certain number of lives. I guess the purpose of your upgrade is to make the unit stronger and give it certain abilities? If so, that might be cool to. It's been awhile since I've played a smash tv map on b.net, so it could be cool to. |

If you havnt played the Old Starcraft Smash TV, then you wouldnt know what i was talking about. There already are smash TV's which use heros. Heros get over powered, and people would see no purpose in upgrading to the next level. Heros are stupid :P |

Mech, my suggestion would be to use heroes in a new way. Make the hero start with a default ability that would surpass its lesser form, but edit it so only 4 levels can be gained. Don't include any ultimate abilities with only the final forms being the exception. |

i'd like to see actual directional firing with keyboard and movement problem is, when i tried this approach, if you use units for bullets, they're too slow, and theres too many so the AI screws up, and if u use an ability (carrion swarm for example) it doesn't work perfectly in terms of collision |
