How exactly do I make the skin available in the editor, and apply it to the respective unit. I have already made a whole bunch of custom skins (I've done it before) but don't remember how I used them... I dunno. Please help if able! Thx a bunch! :foot: p.s. Didn't TheProphet develop Warcraft Viewer? Perhaps he could help...! :ggani: |

Uhh, you don't attach a skin to a unit via editor. Make your skin, save it as a .tga, open in extractor, save as .blp, use the mpq importer to define the map, the custom skin, and the original skin. If you save your map while the skin is imported, it will delete the skin and you have to re-import it. |

This seems really stupid to say, but I jsut got wc3 Viewer (which is fantastic so far) but I can't find the thing where I specify the map and units? Will I have to replace the original skin? I hope someone is still on... |

That's exactly right, you need to replace the original skins. You can make a copy of the model, attacht the skin to that and select it using the UMSWE unit editor if you prefere that. Then you can use both skins. |

Where do I get the mpq importer? I have my skins, I have them as blp's, I have the back-ups, now how do I get them to the correct folders. I didn't think I needed UMSWE, Although I will check it out. Thx a bunch (yet again!) :foot: |

If you have TFT, you can use the Import Manager. For more detailed info use the search function please. If you have RoC only, you have to use a MPQ Editor like WinMPQ. Where to get it and how to install it is explained in my FAQ Thread. |

So then I cahnge the custom path to the unit in question? So..If I have an acolyte skin, and I want to replace the original acolyte's, I put the blp into the import manager, then change the custom path file? Only thing is, I dunno where to overwrite it to. |
