Trying to tweak Hex

Im trying to make a hero ultimate that polymorphs friendly units into heavy melee creatures. My problem is that I cant find a way to make it not disable the unit's ability to attack while under the spell's effect.

Is it possible to tweak hex/polymorph this way or is it hardcoded into the ability?

Is the skill permanant? For instance, after using this skill, all friendly allies in the area are turned into beasts? For a period of time or permanantly...? 8)

Right now it has a duration.

y not just use doom instead of hex?

Prolly making this more complicated than it should be, but doom (or roar perhaps?) would have to be altered in triggers. I think anyway. I have done it in the past (all units effected by the 1st spell, would be cast on by the second spell (in this case, a modified hex)) Anyways, I'm sure someone else could give you a better way, and I think there is even some programs floating around...

Hex disables attacks and abilities. I had the same exact idea as you. I wound up having to do it with triggers.
