what i usually do is make a sphere or squares and get a general shape of what u want combining these shapes together.
1. go up to Create\Standard Primitives\ and select say "sphere".
Then make it the size you want and we move on. Or you can pick a square which is probably much easier for this under "create\Shapes\Square."

2.go up on the toolbar on top it has a symbol with 4 arrows going in diff directions, select it and right click and select "convert to\Convert to editable poly".

3. Then right click again and select "Break Vertices" near bottom left. then your shape has blue dots all over it. Click one and drag out. You should see that it distorts the shape. This is how you make your model to begin with.

4. Combine different shapes and you will have your model.

NOTE:This is the easy way to do it im sure there are much harder ways but i figured this on my own and it works for me but you will have to talk to someon about getting them into the game cause i can figure that one out either. None of the mdx\mdl programs dl for some reason for me. All others do but those.

Well, happy modeling and have fun. Remember be patient cause practice makes perfect.

This site is not a good resourse for modeling techniques, as it shouldn't need to be. Post at a modeling forum for modeling techniques, this forum should realate to the WC aspect of it (exporitng, .mdl editing, animiting for WC, ETC.)
