From ROC, opened in TFT editor, will automaticaly make it TFT required?! How can I fix this, so that it won't happen? Or will I need a fresh install of the ROC to use for non tft maps?! Ty in advance :) |

What? I have no idea what you mean. do you mean how u need the TFT CD to use WE? |

no... A map, from RoC (Reign of Chaos) is labled: w3m! A map from TFT, is labled: w3x! If u open a map in the TFT editor, labled w3m! (wich have modified units) it will become w3x required at times, even though, no changes have been made... Dunno why, but it does. This makes it unable to be saved again as w3m! but instead it becomes w3x, even if u don't change anything. Now, I wanted to know if there was any way to avoid this happening. Where u got the cd part from, beats the hell out of me.... :P |

Umm, the reason it keeps saving as a W3X is probally because you used a TFT editor only feature, otherwise I dont know |

if you want your map to be roc combatible, dont use TFT tilesets, TFT doodads, TFT units, TFT triggers, or anything TFT related. when you save it, it wll pop up with a message saying that something is TFT related (if you put a TFT object in it) and thus requires TFT |

Well, I know all that...not stupid :P But my problem is exactly that I haven't. It is a w3m map, with ONLY RoC units/dooads...and all that, but it says something is wrong with the object manager (It never states what exactly is doing it) and that is the problem... Try opening a map you made, w3m, in the tft editor, and look at map description, and start wondering too if it says that it now require expansion! :) Problem: 1) Opens a w3m map in the editor (THE MAP RUNS, IN ROC) 2) Just looks at it, and then saves it again 3) NO changes were made 4) The map is now w3x and requires the expansion to be used... Kinda wierd.... |

Remove the "Chaos" ability from chaos grunts. Atleast, I think that is the solution from what I have read. One the abilities given to the chaos orcs is treated as a TFT ability, even though it is RoC. Removing it fixes the problem. |
