Little Map: Medieval Wars 97e Beta

Ok, I made this map, inspired by a map called lego warz. The terraining is not that good, its just a simple battlefield in fall style. Also featuring a weather system, sometimes it rains and decreases your troops armor, sometimes it snows and your units may freeze. Anyways, I made the map in 4 days, so it didnt take me too long, and its still in beta. Originally planned to be a small fun map it has become bigger and bigger.

Changelog 97i:
-Added a taunt system, writing "-taunt" will throw a random sentence at your enemies
-Replaced Wind Weather with Thunderstorm, which can kill randomly units with a lightning bolt.
-Added a little special effect when units get frozen
-The spy no longer costs food
-Upgrades are now working (At least I hope so)
-Fixed the Fog ability
-Slightly upgraded trap's hp and activation delay
-Call no longer calls dead units
-Max Camps are now 4 + 1 Spy
-Worker and Spy is affected by movement upgrade
-Changed the encampment button order

Changelog 97g:
-Gave melee units more HP
-Camps do now look different (Melee Red, Ranged Normal, Siege Green and Spellcasters Blue)
-Had to remove the blizzard like "All-units-blue" effect when it was snowing
-Made sunny weather nicer
-Fixed Spike Knight on rainy weather
-Siege now only attacks buildings
-Snow is now even more devasting (freezes more units, more damage dealt to freezed units)
-Added various upgrades for the troops in the Command Center
-Removed the whole corpse clean
-Fixed the "Call" ability

GREAT MAP! :) Keep up the good work, here is a bit of input:

Knight units gain spikes when it's raining :P U might want to change the skill that rain is based on, make it hardend skin instead of spiked carapace, or devotion aura, without the aura art (will still have the small buff icon though)

Camps look the same, magic, siege, everything, even when upgraded, make some difference, size or color (Like the idea that it's tents all the way tru, but still)

Otherwise, It's kewl! Very funny.

Just a thing I noticed, the siege upgrades doesn't do anything (only got the 300 one, first) But the level 4 siege catapults, still had 41-41, 20 hp, 1500 range and 0 armor..

Just wanted to let u know :) Otherwise, good patch :)

YAY, can't wait to play again :))

U gonna play with me again sometime Coffein? I actually did better than u last :P lol

Keep up the work, must be loads of stuff that can be done to this map yet :) Looking forward to using the -taunt! :) hehe

Ok, Coffein :P Just played with my gf, yes she plays too :) She liked it, but still you have bugs..

The ranged upgrade works fine, but the siege and melee doesn't work at all.

Here is an idea for you as well:

How about, "siege destroyer towers". They can only attack siege, 1500 range (so they can reach the nasty catapults) damage 16-16 (so they won't kill in one hit unless more of them :P) And they should cost 250 or something, so it's only for later on.

What is the point of siege then? :p
The upgrade thingy is that the "upgrades" are only for your troops and the fighting ones are player 10/11. So I made a trigger to research the upgrade similar to the command center in the castle. The problem is when 2 people research at the same time..

Hunter0000: It just turns on the heavy snow effect, starts the snow loop effect and turns on a periodic event that picks some random units and then freezes them.

So actually, it is only "nesseceary" for one of the players on a team to upgrade.

You could go arround this if each player had a computer controller of his/her units.

We played it 1v1, so it can't be cos of 2 upgrading... at the same time..

dunno :) Still cool :))

well... tested it 1v1 and its pretty cool...

but offensive towering owned it with the bugged siege upgrades...

tbh, offensive towering is FAR to strong.
