Type "chainmail" into google image search, copy the various chainmail images it gives you, resize and reshape them to fit your skin.

That's CnP though, very dishonorable. Try looking at it and drawing it yourself. It makes it looked better, almost always.

If you have photoshop, simply fill in/shade to your liking a full color and then add a noise filter. Up close, it looks kinda crappy, but most maps I've seen you don't normally look up that close.

Or go to one of those medieval conventions, sneak up behind someone in chainmail and slit his throat! Then just stuff the body in your trunk, take it home, and stuff it in your scanner!!

I have done some chainmail here.
If you are using almost any type of program that allows you to modify textures, you should be able to do this.

1. Get the area you want to be chain, and make it grey scale, probably using tint in shades of white and black.

2. Make the areas of shine (light) more white, while shadows will be black.

3. Use the *Sharpen Tool* and repeatedly go over the area untill it starts to pixelate. If you do it too much, it will become a little too much though....

4. Do not use it on colors, as it creates a wierd rainbow effect. (unless thats what your looking for)

5. If you want to make a different colored chainmail, just tint the aftermath of the greyscale.

6. Rinse, wash, repeat!

I hope this helps! :foot:
