Avelgoth - Pitlord #2 (of 4)

I've been working on this for way too long now and I think it's time I called it finished. I'm not completely happy with it, but I'm so sick of looking at it I don't care anymore. I may eventually come back to it, but for now I'm moving on to something else.

So he's supposed to be a magic-using Pitlord, and his weapon is SUPPOSED to be a big crystal-thing.

It doesn't really look that bad in game I think - the middle pic is from the game-camera in WE.

So lemme know how to improve it (without just telling me to burn and dodge!)

okay..this is a good skin,has tons of potiental, but it could be improved in alot of ways
the crystals for such,they look like metal scales
try to give them a more shiney effect with hardly any shadow and a lil blue thrown in,and try to not have a round design on them ^^,jaggy and like a rock

also try to have different varietys of crystals so it dosent look like u just CnPed the same thing on them

the horns are nice

the symbols on his stomach are nice but u could make them a little bit more unique, perhaps give it a carved into the flesh effect
glowing,magical,innard light perhaps from a weird organ,or perhaps scatheyish war paint kind of plattered on,and not perhaps a perfect line,tons of ways
and for the symbols on the crystal u could have the crystal breaking around it

weapon,try to add somthing a little more unique on it, its kind of plain right now, perhaps glyphs or markings
oriental designs always work too

If the weapon is a crystal it is good to make scratches, and corners so it looks like it was finely cut.

yea the model looks cool but it looks way too--perfect, rember this is an ancient battescarred demon lord guy, you need to give him scratches scars that sorta thing, less perfect/idealized

from my point of wiew, he's a deamon, and therefore has complete power over himself, and can heal scars at a whim.

Nice skin Sheyd, but the weapon needs some texture. 8.5/10, excluding the weapon.

scars make you look cooler so the daemon might keep them too attract..uhh..chick demons???
or scare his enmies more likely-make him look more ancient,powerful,tough

Nice hard Work - Effort, But Really I don't see how is this a pit lord , it needs to be scary / ugly. I can imagine this guy in sesame street.

Mast-of-Fish if you havnt heard the pitlord's "pissed" sounds then listen, he doesnt need to attract chick demons, he can get human chicks!

I hate to say it... but that thing looks GAY!! Its a good skin, but I mean come on? Purple crystal for a sword and zebra skin :////


Some suggestions:

Make his skin less fruity looking, or perhaps make him permanently ethereal. Less criss-crossing more of a solid/2-3 solids.

Sword should be a different color, I mean purple is cool but it looks as if its made out of plastic right now.

ROFLOL... okay its a good skin that looks like it would have taken a decade to make... the idea is okay... but... he looks like a (no offence) gay pit lord... :D

Skin should be a darker color

Yeah, every time I look at it I hate it more and more. I think this skin is a shame on my perfectionism. Anyway, I'm keeping the idea of a white/Albino Pit lord, but this skin is being scrapped and redone from nothing. Don't hold your breath, though, I have tons of other stuff I plan on doing before even considering coming back to this. After this skin and my Mongrethod skin I'm still just plain sick of looking at Pitlords.
On a side note, those of you who were fans of my Null Mage I did a while back I'm almost finished one of his Assassin allies-a sniper-which has the same Bone/Chains combo. It should be up within the week.
