to not replace other skins when u add your own in i believe u have to do .mdl(i..think its mdl..) to create another path with the same model as the one u have for the skin

edit:o btw, your question was answered

Quote:
You import the BLP into your map with the path name the same as you extracted the original BLP from.

to import it u need somthing that can import files into the mpq theres one in the downloads i believe

What do you mean by "u have to do". What exactly do I do?

Look at MasterSlowPoke's Tutorial here

Just read the tutorial, it tells you how to do it in both RoC and TFT. (For TFT just import the .blp using the Import Manager, not a MPQ program)

I've tried that. And what do you mean? Like, if I wanted to do an abomination, would it be Textures/Abomination.blp, or Units/Undead/Abomination/Abomination?

You would put it in the path you extracted it from. For example, in War3.mpq you find the abomination BLP at "textures\abomination.blp".
So import the BLP into your map at "textures\abomination.blp"

@ | ONE |: Do not start a flame war and watch what you say. Everyone at one point was a newb and it's good they are learning and asking questions.

Actually you can just say I'm sorry I won't do it again, because I just looked at all of your posts and none of them have someone flaming you.

EDIT: Ok then, thanks for clarifing. It's my bad, sorry.

So, I would save the blp as Textures/Abomination.blp, or would I write in in the importer as custom path: Textures/Abomination.blp?

Plus: Would this replace the skin on all the maps?

It would replace that skin on that map. And yes, it would replace it. You could save it elsewhere (like Units\Undead\Abomination\Abomination) but you would have to extract .mdx file, convert to .mdl, and change skin path to whatever you changed the skin path to.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking you need Yogbul's Converter (sorry if i spelled name wrong) which only works with Warcraft 1.00, so you have to re-install Warcraft. then just copy the Warcraft3.dll file into the convert's folder (i think that's all you need... don't take my word on anythign in this paragraph because ive never done it b4... just heard other people lol) and then you can use it with any version of Warcraft 3.

Hope that helps :ggani:
