I loaded a skin into my map. It shows up fine in the editor, but in the game there's only a shadow there and I can't select the unit! It's freaking me out man! |

Guest | a common problem really. this is most possibly the alpha channel. id say the same thing as kiether, but i add look in the skinning tutorials available and really check to see you understand everything about alpha channels. once you add the alpha channel your skin should work. |

Well, doesn't the WE delete imported files, if you get out of it? I would just download w3m utilities (located in the "Important Threads" of the "Editing Tools" forum. It not only imports skins much much much easier, it also helps with other editable stuff. It even comes with the protection program. As for alpha channels, I only find them a great help! Although it doesn't always work, they really help when you want to alter a skin's look jsut a lil'. Or if somethings sticking out, making the skin look odd (usually they consist of a single poly anyway, i.e. the necklace of the blade master) Happy Mapping! :foot: |

The skin I'm having the problem with is the half Jaina half villager skin that I think I downloaded from here. Ugg this is all too complicated. I have a much better setup for skin editing but all the programs are made for Windows. It's pretty frickin stupid. |

You have a set-up? Where? Almost all downloaded programs on my computer don't work! It's Millenium Edition, that's pretty good! (I think it's third most recent system) |
