There is an unlimited free version of psp, but I'm not sure really since I use photoshop. Photoshop is very not free, but if you're net savvy enough, I suppose it can be :) |

I remember a very free image editor, I'm not sure whether it's any good but it's free. It's called GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/ |

That depends on what sort of 'free' you want? Do you want freeware? Or Trial software? Or do you want to go for the 'W' option? |

With GIMP I'm assuming you have windows. In which case you go to downloads and then the windows page (http://www.gimp.org/~tml/gimp/win32/). It has two files to download and install instructions. Otherwise you can get an evaluation version of psp (http://www.jasc.com). |
