Making auras to work on Buildings

When I had the idea of a building that has an aura that increases the attack damage of nearby towers by 50% I thought it would be easy, but no, I tried changing the Aura targets to estructure and it is certainly not working.

If you want the aura to start after the player has researched something, then create a trigger that adds the ability to the towers

Or i *think* you can do - Pick all units in RegionA and do Unit-Add ability "aura"

I dunno whether it will work or not cuz i don't have WE handy now

Ok, um Lord Vexorian I just tried it, and it works fine. I'm not sure what your problem is but, I think maybe you looked at the towers and you couldn't see the passive info beneath their stats telling you that they are benifiting from an aura? I figured out that although it says they aren't they really are. I tried it with the target as just Structure and it works, here's the map I tested it with, go ahead and try the unholy, devotion and endurance auras they all work, I simply made them much much much stronger so the effects were more obvious. I hope this helps :ggani:

So, even if the status doesn't show, they are working, I didn't have to download your map, I tested them in mine, Do you know a way to make the status thing work?

I tried but no I can't seem to get that working for you. Sorry. I kind of doubt something like that could be done easily. I'm sure the status part stems right back to it's original foundations as 'structure' a way around it would be to change it from being a tower to just a unit with no movement and make it mechanical and have the aura targets just mechanical and make all other units organic. Just a thought. Good luck.

Now that I think about it, it is much better that no status thing shows, I won't need buff editing.
