Here's the new way of showing menu in battle. It work with... arrows!

I just tested it and it work very well(the demo map below may have some bug that I corrected in the main map). I only need 6 trigger for the menu now. One is the Initialization(set all variable), left(set real variable - 0.01), right(set real variable + 0.01), up(change "folder" or select action), down(cancel/back) and text(show what each arrow does)

Real variable are better than integer for this. the left number tell which folder and the rights tell which menu of the folder)

(only 19k)

This is good.
Just one question: Why don't you make it like in Final Fantasy?

I mean; display a text on the screen like this:

. --> Attack
. . . . Spell
. . . . Skills
. . . . Item

(Those dots are just because this board deletes all space bars at line beginning ^^)

If you use up and down, the arrow moves up and down. If you press the right arrow, the next menu appears.
This is how it was made in Final Fantasy. Why don't you simply copy it, instead of using this confusing left/right-up/down system? :ggani:

Inverting the keys position is damn easy. Just change the event to the one you want. That could be a good idea of showing all the menu. I didnt even though about it.

I will upload the map when it finished so you can tell me what is the best.

EDIT: with all the trouble when you try to add space and a little arrow on the selection, I think I will change the color of the selection instend.

Is there a way to highlight something?
