Hero Requirements

Does anyone know how to eliminate the 2nd and 3rd hero requirements? Every 2nd hero requires a keep, etc. and every 3rd hero requires a castle, etc.

um ok u go to object editer and go to the hero. once u click on it scroll down to stats or requrients... if that dont work go to triggers and delete the mele hero thing

Deleting them will pose another issue. That issue being, I will be able to build more than 1 hero of each type and the limit of heroes will be unlimited. Therefore, I will have to put more triggers to prevent these actions, which is really annoying! Any other suggestions? Thanks for the replies so far.

I recall ChrydGod's enhancer SLK for RoC enabled fields for heros which allowed you to change what the required buildings were (or remove them). The neat thing was that it was based on the four-letter code, so you could make it require items, or upgrades, or hired units, or whatever.

However, that required that you add AbilityData.slk to your map, since the fields weren't natively enabled for anything in the WE. And that, in turn, meant that the map would be screwed up if it wasn't the first to load.

And there you have the whole barrel of nuts.

Could you modify the keep and castle to be modelless invulnerable units with the Locust ability (so they don't show up, in-game) that are preplaced on the map? That, at least, would satisfy the hero requirements immediately, so it would seem like they don't have them.
