Yes, it is probably very, very newbie but I can't seem to get anything to load into Gmax. I tried kmk's max script, but I guess I just don't know what I am doing. Would some kind soul explain what it is, in very basic language, that I need to do to load a model into gmax using that script? Thanks. |

so far the only g-max scrip to import dose not suport anmation I sugest you make your own models form scrach then DL dex to get it into mdl format . |

So you are verifying that: MAXScript MDX Importer/Exporter v2.0 by Phil Laing (aka KMK) Does not work? I don't see why it would be released if it did not work, and yes, the importer supposedly supports animations. The MDX Converter, a different product, does not. |

Kmk's import/exporter does work, it does import aniamtions, but the importer itself isnt done, it messes up bone positions and it rotates the model. If you dont want aniamtions, my importer is probably the best, cuz it doesnt roate the model and it imports bones in the right positons, it doesnt support full aniamtions though. and for exporting, dex is certainly the way to go, check out the temporary downloads forum for more info about these 2 |
