Leaping Blademasters

Hello everyone,

Ive seen some pretty lameish leap triggers out there, and i didnt really think that a good one could be done. But then, one day messing around with a map, i looked at the blademasters attack slam animation, and i got this idea...

Basically, this is probably the best looking leap trigger you will see, the blademaster jumps up, pulls his sword over his head, and tracks down his intended target in the air, with his sword streaking ribbons behind him, at the apex of his jump, he drops onto his foe and bashes them.

It needs to have the range limited to 800ish, but it hits all manner of targets relatively well. If you use this in a major map or mod, just give FM a tiny thanks somewhere in your credits.

Enjoy,
FM_Tertiaryeye

(Btw, 2 units are using this in FMVH3)

Thank you so much, I was pulling my hair out trying to create a good looking leap ability.

dude! this kiks @ss :D do u think there would be a way 2 make him jump from 1 point 2 another maybe by moving an invisible unit in front of him so he could target that unit and it would seem like he was jumping over a gap:bgrun:

Looks pretty good, but what the hell is with the unit moving back and forth across the bottom 3/4 of the map?

Fyre: The troll you see skidding over there is an interference test. I had never really tried running multiple .01 interval triggers at once, so i thought it would be a good idea to put him in there to see if it caused any slowdown or if it delayed any parts of the trigger into not working properly. Fortunately it did not, even with 8 of those shadow hunters flying around.

Andy: I think i know what you mean, make it like the leap lands in an area right? And damages whatever is around right? Making the spell a point target spell would take minimal effort really. To cause the damage of a point target spell, use inferno instead of thunderbolt, and base it off of sentry ward instead of purge.
