is there a way that i can add a third cliff to a tileset with an enhanced WE, or change one of the cliffs in a tileset to fit my likes? like i want to have a grass cliff, a purple tile cliff, and a sunken ruins cliff to my map. i already have a purple and dirt cliff, but id rather have a grass cliff than have a dirt one.

Use Zepir's Editor.

Its awful for editing maps, but it'll let you add that kind of thing.

hmmmm.... i did that, then opened it in my regular we, but didnt have too much luck. sure, it displayed the cliff tile on my tileset, but it didnt do as well on the map. it just displayed the cliffs of one of the origional cliff tiles, and put the tile of the cliff i added around it. dunno, i attached a screenshot of my attempt. think u can help?

There isn't a way round this. I think possibly if you were to edit the cliff textures, but other than that you can't help this. Tilesets and their cliffs are designed to interlock.

cool. But I though the problem was that the graphics weren't designed to go together.

Hope Blizzard adds this functionality to the editor in 1.13. It seems really useful (especially for the map I'm working on..)

Also, WE Unlimited can go up to 16 textures without a problem, so Blizzard better do this too. ^^; Lets me have a map with snow and lava at the same time, hehe..

Unfortunately CliffTypes.slk can't be imported into maps any more since 1.12. So multicliffs show up like the one in you pic.

well, i made a breakthrough. what i noticed that there is a base tile for every cliff tile, which also has to be added to the map tiles through zepir's editor. in WEU i can see all three cliffs as they would normally be (as can be seen in the first image), but not seen in game (as can be seen in the second image). i think your right, pitzer, it wont work....... let this be the answer to anybody who wants to add a thrid cliff to a map.

Yes, they show up correctyl in WEU as I added these textures and the modified CliffTypes.slk to the self executable MPQ.

In game they will only work if it's started with the WEU Game patch.
Unfortunately CliffTypes.slk doesn't get read from a map if imported. So I created the game patch.
