i just got 3ds max 4.2 and i have been trying to use it to edit .mdx/.mdl models. only problem is, its all so confusing. ive searched around but found no help. if someone could point me to a tutorial that would be great. anyway, heres my problems. all i want to do is open an mdx in 3ds max, edit it a bit, apply a new skin, save it. i know this isnt as easy as it looks and that is why i need help. i have tried using the MDXExporter but i always get an error. yes i tried running it twice. even if i did get it working i dont know what the hell i would do with it - the readme doesnt help too much. maybe MDXExporter just isnt compatible with 3ds max 4.2? i dunno. a little help would be much appreciated. oh yea and, if in your opinion there is something out there easier than 3ds max for modelling, than please tell me of them, too. |

i already know this, u use KMK's Exporter/Importer. the links somewhere on this forum..... search around. the explanation as to how to use it is in the readme. |
