Are you importing them into the map itself? using winMPQ or a similar program? I've had problems doing this as well, I just import them into my war3.mpq if I need to test them (after backing it up of course!) And you need to have the unit.mdx, unit_portrait.mdx, and the skin.blp all imported. It looked to me that you said you didn't actually import the skin. I may just be misunderstanding what you wrote, though. Another thing I've noticed is that sometimes if I import files using WinMPQ it simply doesn't do it. I can repeat the process over and over and the files just don't show up in the mpq. I usually have to delete the mpq, copy over the backup, and restart WinMPQ and even after doing this sometimes it still doesn't work. I don't know why it does this, but WinMPQ is the only importer/exporter I have bothered to try. |

But when u just import the model and stuff into the war3.mpq, youll be the only one who can see the special model, right? In order for anyone who plays the map that u make to see them doesnt it have to be in the map itself?? Maybe im just misunderstanding what he was trying to do. |
