advice on changing bloodmage's red armor to silver

im a total noob when it comes to skinning. i want to take the blood mage and make the red armor a shinny mettalic silver like color. any advice @ all? sorry for being so broad.:bgrun:

OK sounds like a good Idea first (everyone skips this step) do your reseach go read about 1/2 of the skining totorails ok

Pick 3 different shades of your metelic
Use the darker shades at the darker places
Lighter shades go in the semi-bright places
Almost white shades go in the middle for chest plate and at the top on leg armor (or bottom wich ever lighter)
Smuge it togather
Sharpen it
Burn it
Use what ever filters you like
Import the skin
