are you saying you want the unit to attack using the arrow, but not shooting it? Like in LotR when legolas stabs the guy with the arrow? If you want that, well.... as far as i know, no. Unless u can edit animations and stuff. Because whenever one of the archer units attack, no matter what they are attacking with, they always do the same animation. They grab an arrow (no matter what u are making them shoot) put in in the bow, and then fire. If u don't want the attacking unit to be an archer, i might be able to help. If u have a unit such as the blood mage (he doesnt hold any weapons) u can make him hold an arrow via the object editor under the abilities tab. THe blood mage comes with a spell type thing called "sphere". It makes those 3 orbs above his head. Remove the missile art, and change the "art-Target" to the arrow. Change target atachments to 1, and then remove the target attachment point things. Go into "attachment point 1. Make sure all the strings are deleted in the other attachment points as well. Anywas, add a string labled: hand. then, add a string labled: right. then give that new spell to the blood mage. Then change his attack so he doesnt shoot stuff out of his hands, and make it a meelee attack. I think that'll work.... let me check.... It kinda works. The blood mage wouldnt work real good cause his hands get all sparkly. Just find an unarmed unit. And i think adding the arrow makes it play the arrow sound. And i think the arrow dissapears when he attacks. But when hes walking around its still there. Whoa, thats kinda lengthy..... oh well. |
