Item Type to String Conversion?

Is there any way of obtaining a String value from an Item Type or even an Item? I can't find it in the GUI - could you possibly use custom scripts, and if so, could someone point me to a good tutorial on custom scripts? 'Cause they scare me!

I looked, sorry but there doesn't seem to be one. No item conversion at all for that matter.

I were also looking for this but I've been told its impossble and I cant find any way to do it either... Sorry.

YOU CAN GET ITEM ID BY CS ~~ THAT IS A INTEGER ~~

Getting an integer out is no problem... I guess I'll have to make my own table of String values and index them.

This is quite a hole in the functions list... Ah well. Thanks anyway!
