What's VCL35.bpl? An error pops up when i try to run the editor saying this file is missing. I didn't have this error with previous versions...

OK, found the problem. It will work now... and if it doesn't, just download those runtime files.

The latest version runs, but it doesn't work, or atleast abilities don't work. It lists '0' for all abilities (normal, hero, item) and will reset any custom unit's abilities to the default (whatever skills the base unit had)

doh, forgot to load ability data. You can either re-download the program or fix it yourself. To fix it yourself, open Data.ini (in the data subdirectory) and add 5=UnitAbilities.txt in the [slk] section. Then change Count to 6. Now open UnitAbilityData.slk (from war3) in excell, and then goto save as and change the type to .txt (msdos). Save it in the data dir and it will work.

I was wondering if you plan to add in menu's for some of the fields. I can understand that strings allow you to use any model, and might just be easier, but for things like primary attribute or abilities, theres a very limited number of choices. It's also rather annoying since I don't know all the abilities codes off hand. It seems kind of disappointing considering previous versions had menus.

Also, I think the program would be a little more user friendly if you gave the option of whether to directly input the model and portrait strings directly or have a menu with the "default" values (ie the standard unit models for the models field). This isn't really that big of a deal, but since the whole theme of this editor is "faster" it would definately help.

During the loading while loading unitbalance.txt an error message pops out saying "list index out of bounds (43)". what's wrong?

That error message probably means something is wrong with the file or something. Try reinstalling and see if that fixes it.

As for the drop down menus, yes, i'm planning on adding them to those fields (like hp regen) so you don't have to look them up.

New Version -- With some minor bugfixes and major new features:

1. New "Common Command" menu. When you right click certain fields, you can choose "Common Command". A dialog will pop-up and let you choose a value. (easier than looking it up yourself).

2. "Choose Unit" menu. When you right click on a field (like modal or interface icon), you can choose a unit. When you select "Choose Unit", the editor goes into Choose Unit Mode. Just double click on any unit in the left view to choose it.

3. "Reset Field" menu. Right click on a field and choose this to reset the field to it's default value.
