Guest | I read you didn't mind suggestions in the readme, so here's one.. A function could allow a given area of a map and all or individual layers in them to be moved, cloned, cut, pasted to another (blank) location. If this can be done already, sorry to ask. |

It can't be done already. I though about it. It's a kind of copy/paste function. That's not too hard to do and I planed to do it. I also though about rotating and scaling tools. Not too hard neither. And I even had a beter idea: allow user to save parts of map as "prefabs" and then import/export/share them! :) Thanks for your input, I appreciated! ;) |

Guest | Most welcome. :) Scaling would be great. I just recently had another idea. It's probably a lot to ask, but it would be nice to be able to see the models for the different layers (terrain, doodad, etc) instead of a map. I ask only because it's easy to get confused about what tiles you just placed. I realize there may be advantages to the schematic view in the editor. I don't know how difficult it would be. Maybe it would be simpler to combine the Zepir and Blizzard World Editors instead of coding the graphical display of doodads, units, and regions personally, although I'm just speculating. If this is a useless suggestion, just ignore it. :) |

Guest | I realized I had one other question: I looked for the faq/tutorial for the Zepir map editor on this site and war3pub. I found a thread and link there, but the link seemed only partly alive. If anyone has it, could you possibly link it for download? Thank you. |
