Dragon Rider

Im not sure where this should be but whatever.

i found out how to get a pretty cool dragon rider, some of u might know how to do this but for those who dont here ya go.

you have to make a dragon, anydragon (black,green, whatever)

make a trigger with the action

- create special effect on unit

-create special effect on (chest) of (dragon) using model (emisary or a priest or whoever you want to be the rider)

nicely done. i tried this with some other stuff that looked rideable but it just looked realy screwed up. I had no idea it worked for dragons. Nice work.

for the one in the pic i used a searinox (blackdragon) and for the special effect i used Aprentice Wizard, Emissary path is
units\creeps\HumanMage\HumanMage.mdl

If this worked, then we could have dragon riding archers, dragon riding heros, dragon riding dwarves and even dragonriding tauren!

That wouldn't work well in game. Because its just attached, the rider wouldn't *do* anything, just sit there and look pretty. Essentially a dragon would breath fire while the "rider" did nothing.

I'm pretty sure (you might have to use JASS) that you can get SFX to play animations. Therefore, for instance, if you had a dragon riding archer, just set up a trigger to when it attacks, it plays the archer's fire animation. I'm pretty sure in UMSWE 4.0 that missile SFX will be included, so you'll be able to make the archer fire arrows at the target of the attack.

Your right the rider woudnt do anything unless some scripted something. none the less its still cool

maybe you could make a trigger like call dragon and your pet dragon comes and u hop on it and make another abillity like get off dragon and then he lowers your hero or guy to the ground and then flys away,

i made a map with call dragon spell if anyone wants it :D

its a bit screwy but still good, works good. well fell free to tweak to suite ur needs.
