What will the next Dota alike races be?

Here is a poll, please vote for the one you find the most interesting, and/or even write something you could think of in a reply. This is a Poll, just to see what kind of races (instead of the classic Nightelf vs Undead) could be done in a Dota alike game.

I voted Midgard vs Ogres, because all the others are tired. I haven't once seen a DotA clone like that.

The classic Good VS Evil (Heaven VS Hell) option does it for me.

In fact that's the option I chose to go with for War of Chaos, which pits the heavenly Titans against the hellish Burning Legion. :D

Not sure about that toochaos, but I know that in greek mythology, Titans are evil creatures who have been sealed off beneath the earths crust..

in everything i've ever read about elves they are said to be a little arrogant while the humans are very very full of pride

Propoganda would be the standard Charm spell for democrats, and you could have spells like Terminator which outright kills a non hero creep Arnold style!

AoS, explain why it's called that. AoS is ANOTHER of thoes games, lets call them hero sieges instead, called Aeon of Strife, so don't give me that :)

Well, no, not in my experience. Hero Sieges are generally like one-sided AoS maps. DotA is an AoS map.

There was a lengthy discussion a while back, and generally the consensus was that Aeon of Strife was more or less the progenitor. Therefore, the maps that have the same idea should be called AoS's.

Actually no. I played the first AoS-Style maps that came out.

It started with a map called "Aeon of Strife". It had not more than 1 Team vs Computer. All Basic heroes to choose. 4 Items (Ankhs and Tomes^^).
They made a some newer versions with small changes before Aeon of Strife 2 came out. It had that Team vs Team battle in we all know. It got developed further and after a while the edits begun... (i.e. Aeon of Strife EXTREME with big heroes and crap). After that so many maps appeared in this AoS-Style, many of them are still called "AoS: NAME". I like that, even more if there are credits to dragon-king and kor_illidien for making the first aos ever in wc3... :-)
Long Long Long time after came the Hero Siege Maps and DotA. But cause many people didnt play wc3 beta or retail since the beginning, the new guys just know "dota" as the most popular aos map...

And the above is called evolution :P Thanks for filling us in, I really appreciate it :) I'll stick to AoS, as it was the original game :) And I'll implement it into my game, along with credits to the above.

I've decided on what to do, and I'm going with Heaven vs Hell. There will be new features in my map as well, not seen in this kind before. But for now, this is work in progress :) Thanks all for voting.
