I have a problem with some custom trees.
I made new destructibles with the object editor.
Using custom models.
They apppear in the editor, and outside the playable area ingame.
But not inside.
wtf is wrong????????
Can someone help me?

The only thing I can think of right now (its too early...) is that fact that the editor can use local files where as WC3 doesn't so...

Did you remember to import any required files into the map (by either using an MPQ archiver or the TFT import manager)?

u should probably import them with the import manager, not mpq edit. Also make sure the skins are in the right path.

I have tried that to, it's the same.
Yes, the skins are in the right path, I don't think it's the models.
They show up outside the payable area ingame you know, but not inside.

I am not sure about this, but it may have something to do with the "model detail" video option. Try to set that to the same value your using in the editor (usually set to high) and check if it works. Also try to change it in the editor itself to see if something changes.

I know wc3 looks for different model files depending on the model detail you set, but I dunno how it gets that information from the model.

Here is a picture to describe it, show up outside playable area and in the editor but not "IN" the playable area.

In that case it's probably got something to do with animations. I think this because outside the playable game area animations are not played.

but animations are played in the world editor, but maybe models outside the playable area use a different model resolution, try changing video settings like I said.

k, figured it out, some reason I forgot that since my first tft map..

anyways untag lightweight model version of the destructable. It must be turned/tagged off. This way the destructable will not be seen as two type model and will use the one imported/custom

the map you've send me has been removed. Dont worry about leak etc, as map doesnt exist anymore (meh, only the tree with that animatd swag was cool)

:D
