The UMSWE Team is proud to release UMSWE 4.0. After 2 months of hard work UMSWE 4.0 is ready to be released. To get a list of changes, check the Readme. This thread should only be used to get help with it or to report bugs (this contains mistakes in the documentation). Rules for this thread: 1) Don't post something like "cool", it will be deleted. 2) Don't ask anything, that is already answered in the readme or in the tutorials that come with UMSWE 4. Both the readme and the documentation can be found in the UMSWE Files directory inside the UMSWE directory. You will get no answer to such questions from Scio or me. If someone else is dumb enough to help the lazy ones, then do it (I will not appreciate that). Don't be pissed about that. You may understand it if I tell you that we put much effort into the documentation (and I think we have to put in further work for future versions). Suggestions (also for the documentation) should be made here. Bugreports or suggestions for War3Config should be made here. Installation Instructions: 1) Download the file UMSWE4.zip: UMSWE4.zip. 2) Unpack the installer. 3) Run the installer. 4) Select the folder where you want to install it (it is recommended to select the Warcraft III directory, the appropriate subfolders will be created automatically). 5) Run War3Config (there is a shortcut on your desktop), select the UMSWE edition you want (on the left) and run it by clicking the World editor icon. Full Readme Note: If you downloaded the version released on IRC or here some days ago, you have to remove, redownload and reinstall UMSWE 4.0. Hotfix available: UMSWE4.0Hotfix.zip This hotfix fixes some of the reported issues of UMSWE 4.0. |

EDIT: Bleh, didn't notice the thread rules. Delete this if you want. It's still somewhat on topic. Thanks once again to Scio and StarcraftFreak (and other contributors) for making our lives easier. The new features sound very promising, and I can't wait to try them out. The light source tutorial mentions that a con of the dynamics is that they are selectable. There is an easier way to make them unselectable, and that is to give them the ability Unknown (Aloc). It's a day late to mention this, but if you happen to work on any future versions I think it would be awesome to toss in, with the modeller's permission, some of the generic item models (potions of healing, mana, restoration, etc.) that are being created for use in several maps. Then again, I'm not sure how feasible it would be to do that. :D :D Great work. |

Thanks a lot for your hard work. Although I'm a bit dissapointed that the changes are mainly object max/miniumums. I'd rather have more trigger stuff. |

Multiboards and real regions without jass seem enough for me. |

Its just a suggestion. Can u add a trigger concerning "Subtract or Add Hp points of a target specified unit?" That would be real great for stuff like Spells using Hp instead of mana, or just add a health string instead of mana in abl. ? Thx for reading. |

I hate to throw a monkey in the wrench, but, er... I've got a bug to report. Whenever I use the All Units version, it encounters a critical error whenever I open a map, create a new map, or change the race to Neutral in the Unit Palette. Namely it insists that ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNVulture.blp is corrupt and worldedit.exe must terminate. This seems to only occur using the All Units Edition, but I have not yet found settings that will make it stop happening. Attached is a screenshot of my current Config settings in case that could help you track this down. |

also if you open an old map in which you told a unit to learn certain spells, they all show up as unknown and if you try and chnage them, it crashes the WE, and yes this is the new one |

well I didn't touch that, so we gotta ask freak about it |

I reported this same bug for the "Leaked" Version , and It looks like nobody saw it, the only way to fix it I found was to open my map with the editor and convert to custom text the Trigger That learns Skills for the Comps, It really hurts, when you have 40+ Actions of that kind... pheonixiv: Are you sure you donwloaded the newest version? |

I thought that was just in the leaked version, again, ask freak about it |

Er, ah.... just to clarify... isn't this the place to ask Starcraftfreak about it? The first post does say this is the place to report bugs and all.... Or is there some other way (PM, e-mail, a different thread) we should be getting our hands on the freaky one? |

If you look at the readme, you will see there are a lot trigger changes. It's just that for every Object Editor change (each limit change) there is a line. Quote:
About the spell learning bug: I think I know why this problem occurs. There will be a fix in the next version. BTW Scio, it was you who changed the variable type for that trigger from herskillcode to abilcode. I will add both. I will fix the old trigger and add a new one with abilcode. Quote:
