OK.. I keep reading posts about someone setting the movement speed of a unit to zero, and it still being able to wander about... hell, I even posted a question about it at some point. Well here's the thing... If you set the "Movement - Unit Speed - Minimum" value under Game Constants (with TFT) you CAN set the movement speed of a unit to zero, and it WILL work. Ordinarily, setting it at zero just makes it the minimum value. I hope there isn't already some post like this... if there is I couldn't find it, and it sure would have solved a lot of my problems... Hope this helps someone out there. / Ligature |

LOL I just took a look at the object editor for units and noticed they now have 3 different movement speed values. I think the min and max apply to the effects of the unit movement speed trigger and perhaps limit its functionality, just a guess I haven't tested it though:( |

Yes that is correct. However, a unit with 0 movement speed can't use any movement spells, such as mass teleport, blink, etc. |

if you don't want anyone to move you could always set movement type to none. it is easier than doing gameplay constants to 0 and also having to change the units speed and so on. just change movement type from foot(or fly or whatever) to none. |

Setting gameplay constants movement speed to 0? I can't seem to do that... dunno why... I don't mess with gameplay constants much but I can't seem to get lower than 25. I type 0 and it goes to 25... nothing annoying... but it's like the Max Movement speed can't go past 400. How did you guys get past that? |

Game constants cannot be edited completely with a default editor to my knowledge. Setting movement type to none will allow a unit to traverse across any terrain. Graphics look like its on 'foot' movement type. |
