Here's one for you guys. Is there any way I can set up a set of triggers making it so that no player can talk to one another without being within a set distance of each other? I'm thinking obviously of something using events of when a player talks, and a condition of having units being so far away from other players units, but the action part especially, has me stumped. Any ideas or thoughts, or even random sayings on this would be appreciated thx.

i know how you can do it to an extent... Theres a way to make it so nothing appears on the screen but it will still be in the message log. What you do is check if they are within the range...then if theyre not, make it so when they say something, make it so it clears all text messages. That way right when they say something, its cleared and no one sees it :) Again, it only works to an extent.

Not a bad idea. I'll probably end up using that, but if anyone else has a way to do this where I wouldnt have to basically trust the players to stick with the "Honor System" (since anyone whos been on bnet knows theres NO friggin way you can trust anyone on there to stick to the rules) I'd really love to hear it. If you can erase the chat memory somehow or just keep the player from even speaking at will, id really like to know how. Thx.
