Well, this is the first time i've requested side, but if any good terrainer is up for a challenge I would like them to create the following world on the WCIII editor as much as you can make it, which usually means 256x256, though I hear there are some programs which allow you to go over that.... anyway, here's the link. http://cellwall.stanford.edu/todd/eddings_map.html (You can zoom in on certain parts. Please use the Lorderon Summer Cliff Tiles. I would be extremely grateful if this was done, though frankly, I don't think anyone would actually want to tackle this. I'm starting an Stratedgy game, based on a popular book seires. I'll give you all the credit for terraining and stuff. I know it's a big task, and I'm really not that great at terraining, I'd never get anything done. I know that very few people will even consider accepting, but if you DO decide to help me, plesae, don't do a half-assed job. 8)) Most of the islands aren't important, so don't bother adding them in, and don't worry about the doodads, I'll take care of those, but you can add them if you wish. PS: I know the map isn't great, I'm sorry.... I'll try to find something better. |

The only way to make a huge map is by editing one of the UI txt files, (dont' remeber wich one right now) The part I like the most in mapmaking is terraining Have a look of a map I'm making. It's a swamp |

i would help you out but i got so tired of terraining on my current project which is 256 x 256 that i just put it on hold and started something new for now. when making something very detailed it starts to get very hard and takes very long. i am nearly done with it but i will tell you i don't enjoy it one little bit. i guess i should post an image. Below is a picture of my graveyard. i kinda like it. my hero just wasn't close to any of my favorite spots at the time. |
