It is time to start it again, now I need 40 items, and I am not planning to make more easy to make items, like sword of ??? Gives a 40+ Attack , blah bla. This request is only for Custom Spell Items that can be way different from the spell they are based or may be powered by triggers / Jass To see where the limits at item creation are check this: Trigger Items Tutorial If you still don't believme check this: Item Spells demo map Avoid to include history inside the Ideas, It is not like I am going to include it. Don't post uber imbalanced item ideas, If it is an orb that kills every unit in an area, give it a 50 % chance at least. -) Thanks a lot in advance. |

how about a 1 shot item, like a stone of some sort that kills a unit instantly, and does animate dead on it? i know you can do it with triggers some how |

I understand it, make it to not work on heroes, and call it Wand of Corruption. 39 items left. |

Book of flight -- make a unit fly for a few seconds, then you could use this to make secret areas that you gotta fly to... of course the hero shouldn't get stuck... so pop in a free scroll of TP or something... alternatively you could do a "Summon zepplin" or something. Staff of nerfage -- Large AOE (entire map) silence? Potion of fury -- Maybe change the agil to +500 for a few seconds... allows hero to string a chain of fast attacks. Hmmm maybe just increase the attack speed (dunno how) so agil-based heroes won't benefit so greatly. Great cheese -- Every map needs cheese :D. This cheese is enhancd with extra calcium to make your bones extra-fortified! Also comes with power of a thousand cows! Basically a stat-boosting potion that last for about half a minute or so (cooldown so you can't ummm... cheese it...) Invisible caster summon -- Most of the time summons are either too powerful or too useless for their cost. So maybe you can make a summon that is invisible and only good for casting support spells... or just really fast so it can avoid people. |

Book of flight -- Wouldn't fit in my Arena Staff of nerfage -- It is possible but I can tell you that it will create massive lag. Potion of fury -- Nice, but it is mostly my edited potion of bloodlust Great cheese -- Cool Invisible caster summon -- I already have 30+ Summoning items in my map, you know... 38 Items left |

I had a few of these for an old map I was making that got trashed but I liked them. They all use triggers. Mallet - Gives a 10% chance to knockback a unit and deal 25 extra damage. (moves the unit away from caster about 150) Mystic Lamp - Gives a 2% chance for the hero to cast lv1 holy light on himself with each hit. (holy light special effect and +life to unit) Vampire Fangs - Gives a 5% chance to leech 50 life from a unit. (-50 from attacked unit, +50 to attacking unit) Mana Bowl - Same as vampire fangs except it took mana instead of life. Vortex Orb - Gives a 1% chance to lay a mine with each attack. (Made a starfall effect on the attacker each time it went off.) Shield of Thorns - Unit attacking you have a 25% chance to take 10 damage with each hit. |

Mallet - I tried Items like this before and I got to tell you that in an arena with no level limit they boceme really umballanced Mystic Lamp - Nice, perhaps just a 50+ hit points cause holy light may be too powerful for a chance based item Vampire Fangs - There already is one of those in my map Mana Bowl - ditto Vortex Orb - Didn't understand Shield of Thorns - There already is one of those in my map 37 items left... Thanks for all of you for your ideas. |

How avout an item like this? Axe of Fury: Slowly drains your HP, but gives you increased fighting abilities and/or life steal. Make this so the hero will have to stay in combat in order to survive, but as long as he is there, he will easily compensate his HP loss, make sure so you cant just have Health stones to compensate. Im going to use an item of this type in one of my maps but you can use it if you like it. This item has a nice function and forces the bearer to stay in combat all the time. |

Staff of Equalizing (rare/expensive) - redistributes HP between caster and target (so, if the caster has 40 % HP life left, and the target has 90 %, their HP is redistributed so both have 65 % HP). Potion of Gravity Well - causes all enemies to be dragged towards you for a small time period. This means they will be slower when running away from you, and faster when running towards you. |

EDIT - (Ignore some of these, didn't see the Part II in the subject line (linked here from your sig)) Snip { Grenades? You can use it about 3 times, click & throw. AOE effect which affects all (Including your troops). 1) Napalm Grenade - Base it off flamestrike/Rain of fire. Burn, baby Burn! 2) Frag Grenade - Explodes & sends shards. Piercing damage. 3) Smoke Grenade - Casts Drunken Haze / Curse on everyone in the AOE. 4) HE Grenade - Explodes & does normal damage 5) Dynamite Sticks - Does siege damage in AOE (Why would anyone do this? Read the 'Potion of Stoneskin') } (/Snip) 6) Dirty Bomb (Radiation) - Does a chaos AOE. Traps? Kind of like land mines but have different effects like- 1) Vines / Net: Entangles / Ensnares the unit that steps on the trap. 2) Displacement Trap: Blinks the unit to a random place on the map (Or you could set where you want it to blink) 3) Wake of Fire: Launches Lvl1 shockwaves in all directions 4) Lightning sentry: Launches Lvl1 Chain Lightnings 5) Flying hippo. Hero looks up, sees a flying hippo. Says "That can't be possible. Hippos can't fly!". And then the hippo falls and splats the hero. (Ok! Ok!) 5) Witch Hex: Decrepifies & Hexes the unit when he steps on the trap 6) Level Drain: Lowers enemy hero level / Removes this level's gained experience Can o' Beans: When the hero eats this item, he gets the disease cloud ability for a minute (Ewwww) Great Mouse Trap: Add the Great Cheese to this item, to get a (fake) Great Cheese. You can leave it lying in the arena. When someone else picks up & consumes this item, he loses the stats he's supposed to gain. Potion of Stoneskin: The hero who drinks this gets Fortified Armor. (Remember that hero attacks do 50% damage to Fortified Armor) Cursed Ground: Use it like the sacrificial skull, it creates land that looks like blighted ground, all units that step on it get all positive buffs removed. Can be dispelled. Blessed Ground: Same as above, except it'll look like grass and all negative buffs will be removed. Thor's Hammer: It boosts your strength, and it can be hurled at an enemy to stun him. Hammer returns to you (Never leaves your inventory) Just give it a long cooldown. Electromagnet: Use it once to steal an item from the clicked unit's inventory Gauntlet of Steal spell: Reduces your hero's mana by 50 & steals all good buffs from enemy / gives all bad buffs to enemy Fire'n'Ice(tm) Beer: Drinking this will put a drunken haze on your hero, but will also give you immolation & Frost armor. Cursed Items! Can't be dropped, -ve stats, etc. Hope this helps, Vex. |

Here's my idea.. For every type of hero, create a special item which only that specific hero can pick up. (Use triggers that, if the unit aquires it but isn't the right kind of hero, he automatically drops it) Each item would have a differing effect. Ranging from letting that hero cast a certain spell (which he already has) but without mana cost using the item (naturally, cooldown), to unlocking a secret special ability that the unit never would have before (good chance to add an ability you wanted to have in but never got to fit it) For example, a staff (use image of Wand of Necromancy) that can only be used by the resident necromancer, and casts Animate Dead which raises 1 unit.. either 120 cooldown and no time limit, or 30 cooldown and 60 time limit... or whatever! Your map.. That's my idea. Whether you use it or not is up to you, but it does introduce an interesting aspect. Of course, balance an item's rarity with it's power if they're all not going to be the same rough strength, so if people choose a hero based on it's special item then they'll have to weigh the rarity and power of the item, and if they're likely to get it. |

Saethori: IT sounds nice and might promote team work, but the fact is that I already have a lot of heroes, and, there is an item limit cause a bug makes custom items to not drop . Perhaps I will make Intelligence Heroes only items /Strenght / Agility. 26 items remaining |

Lol custom items. I have about 9 or so in my map. When i release it, u can try them 4 urself, each hero gets there own special 1. Not all of them r total custom, but a few r, and they r quite amusing (especially the claw of the Werebear) but hey, what can i say? The totally customed 1s include: -->The Claw of the Werebear (Altered short metamorphosis spell that allows the holder to transform into a werebear 4 a short period of time, giving 200 bonus life, xtra life regen, and bonus attack) -->The Stone of Mana Entrapment (Altered mana flare spell lasting only 3 seconds, dealing higher damage than normal mana flare) -->The Horn of Lightning Defense [When i get it to work] (Altered <Spell>, I'm trying to find one that will work, that will make the targeted unit invulnerable and deal damage (like lightning shield) for 10 seconds) I realize that you have far too many heros to implent my other mechanic - the Item Generator. When you kill a hero, you get to create his personal item at your item generator. It costs quite a bit, but is an interesting little twist, so that your items wont just drop on you. -- just added for the thought, maybe you can find some other interesting way to use this. Those are my custom spell items. The others are just strong interesting ones. I'll post a thread when i finish in the Map Development forum. Gl on ur map man ![]() |

Verorian Orb--Enable the power of the Lord Vexorian. Grant the user a mirror image of the great Lord Vexorian warrior himself. Has a cool down of 300 seconds. |
