Im an expert rpg maker on wc3 TFT and just finished an rpg that i have been working on for months. The game is fun, u go up to level 300, and i cant think of one person who wouldent like it. But one thing is missing... A finishing touch would be nice. I think the right touch would be the ability to save characters. Now, the rpg takes 3 hours to fully complete. And once its over, well, the people who tried it will probobly never host it again:( because they dont want to play the entire 3 hours over and over. Thats when i came up with Saving characters. If u have any information on how i could get the triggers to save characters on bnet, I would much appriceate it. Thank You. |

Since the game cache doesn't work on battle.net the mode that is currently used in a password system. That's about the only way I can think of to save characters, howver codes can be easily broken. Dark Crescant (see in the forums directory) is going to use a 256 letter (More or less, I can't remember the exact amount) password system. And you don't even have to type it in! So, my choice would be to just stay away from saving, because codes are very easily broken and once somone gets a code, modifies it, he can be whatever level he wants, and the game would stupid and boring. I hate to say it, but Dark Crescant is going to put most RPGs to shame. And it should be ready by Xmas. Yey! Three month countdown! Anyways, if you really want to, I belive tehre are some tutorials over here someplace.... |
