Hi Folks! Could anybody, who owns the betas of Warcraft 3 & TFT, tell me the differences between the beta and the retail? Or is there a mod out there to change the game back to the beta? I never played the betas before, but I saw some scenes from Warcraft 3 beta some weaks ago, and I there are some things different from the retail which looked very cool, eg. the day night cycle, the background of the menu after starting the game. I know there are two beta packages (made by Cookie?), but these are only the models ... :( Please tell me! 8)) |

Your're thinking of Warcraft 3 Alpha. No data for a mod is publicly available (as the Alpha was never available to anyone outside Blizzard). Cookies packs do not contain the models. Unless someone is willing the carefully study the screenshots and make all the skins/models etc from that, then it is unlikely that any mods will ever be released. |

No i meant the beta ... There was an "public" beta, only for some random selected people, but not for everyone. What I wants is a mod that tries to recall the beta, so that even people who weren't able to play the beta, could get a picture of what the beta was like ... :gsmile: Allthrough the betas were only played online, so you couldn't try to match the computer ... :( |

My friend had both Warcraft 3 beta and TFT... He was related to this guy who knew blizzard very well or something... TFT was no different. Maybe a few minor changes (Like spells, models, gameinterfaace and etc,). Same to RoC beta. Now RoC Alpha had alot of changes but mostly on units and gameplay. |

Eff, the servers arent up for betas anymore, why would they be? the games are released, so you cant play them anyways. I dont know why youd want to, they're just less complete versions. |
