I know looking in cinematic doodads might sound a bit easy, but we still gotta help new people out. They'll learn eventually, so let's cut them some slack. :D |

This isn't C++ or some programming language. Everything you have in world editor is in a drop down menu. With enough time, you can find out what you want. Then if you really can't find it... well that's what the forums are for. Everyone learns. We gotta teach them. No nid to look through a list of drop downs when you can ask other people rite? |

Well, this post do state one good thing though: DON'T POST CRAP! What I would point out is, that not every little question is crap, even the most obevous trigger to us, can be damn hard for a newb. But the crap part, is when someone posts the exact same question as the guy 20 minuttes before him did, because he was too damn lazy to either read some of the topics OR use the search feature!! Isn't that hard really. Newbs: When u come to the board, BEFORE posting a new topic, use the search feature at the bottom right corner of the forum. This will make you able to find what you need (IF it has been posted before!) I did these mistakes when I got to this board at first, but it's ok, just learn :) We will always be saying to the newcommers: Use the search feature, this has already been answered... But...if we don't like it, we can just leave. Not like u have any commitment here...or? |

Please read my thread... called "Simple Questions Answered!" |

Hezza, your first post made a good point, but you seem to contradict your point in later posts. Off-topic: Damn! I can't use the comps at school for Wc3campaigns.com because if you are found using non-educational websites then you are banned for the rest of the year. And they have programs that track your comp usage. I tried telling them learning JASS was education and to do with programming (I know its technically scripting, but they don't), but they just kicked me out of the labs that day. I hate IT teachers! |

Surely by helping people out, you post the reply. There are also countless questions answered in previous issues (thats one of the reasons forums are so nice) I believe people say "Look in previous forums", but these are people who are new to it all, including triggers. You should be happy that people are trying to learn, instead of making un-educated crap. Please don't waste more posts complaining... p.s. Try using more periods. Most of your talk is hard to distinguish.... :nono: p.p.s. Not starting a flame or anything, btw... :foot: |

Yeah, man. If theyre truly n00bs then shouldnt they deserve the most help? I mean, they know the least and if u know the most... share your info. Be nice to people! O.k. maybe they should look in a tut or something, but like seriously. These forums are to get help from! >> this guy needs help >>://// Oh BTW check this out: Quote:
Apparently i did this and used the search feature. Great! Look, now im a Idiot and a post necro. Wish someone coulda told me or something.. or tell me how to get it off.. hell i dont care it just shows that sum mods were having a bad day. :( :nono: |

HEZZA, not trying to offend anyone but is english a second language for you? Just wondering because your posts are kinda hard to read.. |
| 09-30-2003, 11:11 PM | #15 |
From his loaction i think english is his first language....but anyways to my point Lets look at it this way Newbs=Children Experienced map makers/modders: Elders Now the newbs(children) go to the experienced Elders to get help for something there stuck on......now how the elders are graciously generious they help them and soon they keep asking questions to eventually understand the whole modding map making thing. Which will then let them be able to make a map or a skin that there proud of. Well to me the elders should be happy for helping the children after all its nice and eventually the skills of the elder will wear off on the child. So overall everyones happy. The children knowing more from what they started with and the elders passing on there skills. |
