Guest | I know there is a way to do this.. and I suspect it has something to do with game cache. I tried this: map1 create game cache.. store (hero unit) as (name) in (category).. map2 restore (hero unit) from (category) from (last created game cache).. Now, why doesnt it work? Am I way off? Plz explain! |

because you have to enter the cache name manually, the next map doesnt have the last created game cache, that isnt transfered between maps. So if you enter the filename of the cache you created, it should work. |

Guest | Ahhhh i see it works now.. So in MAP2, the game cache has to be created first (from the file specified in MAP1), and then things can be loaded from 'last created game cache'... ok thx. |

Guest | Okay, maybe I'm missing a step. Here's my scenario. In Map 1, I have these triggers in place: Create Game Cache ... Store (Hero) as (Name) of (Category) ... Then some more stuff happens in the final cut scene of that map, but the hero gets all junked up, so that's why I stored him before that. In Map2, I have Create Game Cache ... (with the same filename) Restore (Hero) of (Category) from (last created game cache)... But in Map2, I get nothing. Why? |

althoug i have never used tthe caches, i think you should add, save game cache too... first create, than add stuff (unist, whatever you want) abd save. seems logical to me. |
