Ruins of Arbon - Looking for Staff

Ok, listen up folks, hehe. If you don't have patience to read something long, I suggest you leave now or skip my storyline (which makes it long). This will be a long thread, please note that.

1. Introduction

First of all... This is no ordinary map or project. It's a very well planned project, and still in the planning stages. In this project, you will like some ideas, not like some, and suggest some of your own ideas. If there is something you really don't like, and think it'll ruin the map by a whole, then you can discuss it at the AIM chatroom, or b.net channel we hang at. Currently, there are 7 staff people, and still looking for more.

2. Storyline

Before you start reading my storyline, please think about skipping section 2 if you do not like to read lengthy threads. And here's the storyline

45 years after the death of Illidan, Arthas was brought to justice by the Guardian Arbon, Medivh's son. Unaware of the corrupting powers of the Frostmourne, Arbon wielded the sword high over his head in front of his army. The Frostmourne rapidly takes over him. Arbon strangely began to laugh, his army could only look in confusion. Suddenly, his army was gone, killed by their own commander.

Taken over by Frostmourne's corruption, Arbon seeks to gain 2 powerful artifacts on 2 different worlds. The first, a shield called Apocalypse, and the second, a ring of powerful magic called Blazen Touch. And with his immense power, he destroys half the Undead and commands the rest to do his biddings. Taking over the Undead lead to conquering the Burning Legion and even the Titans.

He threatened the Titans if they do not do his bidding, he will send them to another dimension where they will starve and be eaten alive by abominable creatures. The titans now serving Arbon, Arbon gains control of the ring and shield.

The power that Arbon had, was too much for him. He could barely wield the Frostmourne. Years later, Arbon fell to his own weapons, yielding too much power even for him. The death of Arbon would only lead to worse problems. Problems where the Undead roamed 3 different worlds, and the Burning Legion plaguing worlds and towns, controlling the people themselves. The 3 worlds, devasted by the death of Arbon, must be restored and brought to order.

The end!

3. Staff Required
Currently, I need the whole works, but I don't need much terrainers.

JASSer (For multiboard and enhanced spells)
World Handler (To handle the sizes of units, and balance out the size of the world -- Basically to make the world seem larger)
Game Watcher (A game watcher is not required yet, but I will explain in the next section what a game watcher is)
Save/Load Encrypter (Or someone who knows how to make one of those doohickies)
Hero Skills System (Item Based)

4. Systems and Explanations

Terrainer - Dedicated terrainist to create a brilliant and original world based upon the 3 worlds I will show you. One being the original warcraft world, a fiery planet world, and a desert/icy world.

Story Mod - This person/people will modify my story to make it more intriguing and interesting.

Triggerer - The triggerer will do dirty work, opening cinematics, dialogues, needed game text to be displayed, and anything else that's not related to the 3 systems.

Quest System Creator - Ok! My favored system. This is a system where it involves a game watcher. (read below) The quest system allows a game watcher to make quests -- ingame --! Just like a real MMORPG, where there are employees watching the game, making changes and adding quests every minute, hour and day. The system will allow the game watcher to make triggers ingame because of the system. If you need a better explanation, just ask.

Item System Creator - The item system is where characters hold their items. It'll be a scrolling type of inventory (not a legacy type), where it scrolls up or down on keypresses (up and down).
There will be 2 parts, the Potion Inventory, and the Miscallaneous inventory. Potion holds potions (obviously), elixirs, and healing medicinals. (May/Can change depending on how the item system director thinks how it should be done)

Equipment System Creator - The equipment system is similair to the Item System, just the Equipment inventory uses only 6 slots, and holds only armor, weapons, shields, etc..

Dedicated Modeler - I need a modeler to make models like weapons, armor, helms, etc...

Skinner - Skinner might not be needed, but I'll require some skins indefinitely on some aspects of the project.

JASSer - For trigger enhanced spells, multiboards and such. This JASSer has to be able to work good with a team, and is part of all the systems. He makes the multiboard show things like life, world rank, local rank, etc...

World Handler - Handles how big units are in the project entirely. He has to have a lot of experience with the world editor. Basically, he makes the world bigger, the units smaller, and trees, rocks and such bigger by telling the terrainers to set the units/objects they're using to somewhere on the scale he set. It has to look balanced.

Game Watcher - (Read above too at the Quest Creator System) The game watcher is someone who will watch a game, on his own time, (he owns NO UNITS, NOT A DND) and can basically trigger in quests (INGAME!). He can do this with the system. There are 10 ranks to a game watcher. The higher the rank, the more options and access he has. (It obviously requires a password because this can be abused) Why would anyone do this? Because they'll get special made items, unique items, and rare items from more games they watch. Saving and showing me replays, or any other project staff will result in a higher rank and more privileges.

Save/Load Encrypter - This person/people will create a code, or multiple codes to load and save in multiple (and I mean multiple) amounts of things. Ranging from basics from level, to the amount of shield percent left in an over-shield. (dunno if I'm going to implement that) (Has to be able to work with everyone, and will work with everyone)

Hero Skills System - This is how I will implement more than 5 hero skills. There will be 5 hero skills that will go with their race/class they chose, (5 in the hero), and I at least want 6 more hero skills to be able to be used by items. The item skills are gained by quests or buying them, or maybe some other ways (like being a game watcher). They get leveld up by using the unit ability called "Item level up" (not a hero ability), and that will bring up a dialog showing the items there are that are hero abilities. It will display their level as well.

5. Extras

I hope you actually read it to this part, lol, I highly doubt it though. Some of my ideas are original, some are others with a slight twist (so I'm not stealing). Flame me if you want... That storyline reeks of inconsistency, both creating it and dealing with the existing Blizzard storyline. No one SAID Illidan was dead and Medivh would never have a son - his title 'The Last Guardian' is that fora reason.

You only partially sound like you have it well-planned. How can you rely on finishing it only by gaining so many staff? Sounds over-ambitious to me.

Sorry to sound harsh, but I stand by it.

I think it sounds cool.

but an online game with a story? no good.

this is wat i suggest-
1.make it a 1 player campaign but make it so that your characters could easily vary there looks,names,stats,and spells.

then for part of this mod, make an online single map where you could search for someone and fights them using the campaign character in the 1p campaign.

just a thought, so i mean a campaign where you could fight other ppl that has nothing to do with the story.

2.How about make it like an rpg, where when you equip something it changes your characters lookds.

Well, Medivh "CAN" have a son... So he's the last guardian... That doesn't mean he can't have babies. What? He's forced to have sex with another female guardian or something? Another thing is, Illidan is dead in this storyline of mine. I wanted consistency between that. And that's why I have STORY MODS... Anywho's, at least I got a response... ^^

Oh yes, another thing. Party why I require so much staff is because the project will be at minimum of 9 maps, and maximum of 18.
