:saddened: I can't get custom models to work. Instead it just comes up with the big green cube that is big and annoying. I've done two things. Exp Model Name: Crap.mdx, Crap.blp,Crap_P.mdx, Crap_P.blp. I put those files in Units/Humans/Crap EDIT: I put the Units folder in my Warcraft III folder where game.exe and world editor.exe are. Then in the editor i go into the Object editor and for the model I type in Units/HUmans/Crap/Crap.mdx then i place the unit in the game and it's you know who, the big green box. I also tried importing all those file using the Import manager, yet when i go to Model File, and imported files and select Crap.mdx it still shows up as the big green box. What am i doing wrong? I hope i was clear enough in my question. :hm: |

the problem you are having is proberbly not getting the blp path right as the mdx file looks for certain blp files if it cant find them you get the cube, you must make sure you have the correct texure path set within the import manager for for the model check the readme file from where you downloaded it example textures\arthas.blp are you using the frozen throne editor? as its much less hassle to import models with its editor |

It sounds like you might be getting the path of the file you're importing confused with the path of the imported file inside the map archive... It shouldn't matter what folder you have the file in before you import it; all that matters is the path that shows up in the rightmost field in the Import manager for the file. You can double-click on that field and check "use custom path" and change it... If you already knew this, sorry I misunderstood the problem. But I hope this helps at least a little! Good hunting. |

well i couldnt at first then i just used regular mdx instead of mdl and they worked, so i dunno but then again, that unmounted arthas's portrait is screwed up |
