Is it possible to upgrade units?

Okay, I'm just wondering for my map, is there a way you can actually upgrade units? Like, can you upgrade a Skeleton to an Acolyte? I tried doing this through the Destroyer Form skill, but then the Acolyte can't summon anything. Is there a way to do this through Abilities, or am I going to have to go to triggers?

Also, the unit it upgrades from keeps its original color. So if the first unit is completely black, when it upgrades, the new unit will be black too.

(An easy way to think of this is the Lurker Aspect skill in Starcraft: Brood War...)

The problem is (i think) that the Destroyer and it's origin (the statue i can't remember the name of are the same model. The skill doesn't make a new unit, but it changes its model and stats to match. But the new version of the model will use the old ones skin. Use triggers. For what you say you want it would be very easy to do.

You can do it with the beserker upgrade i think, but that will upgrade all units of that type. Don't try it with heroes though, or it will be buggy.

If you got the right file edited you could probaly upgrade the unit like you do to buildings. (ie towncenter/keep/castle)

I think ive seen it done in a map i played.

not sure, the only way ive found effective is by using the berseker upgrade or with WEU the morph trigger.
