I am looking for a 3rd party group to help out in whatever way you can make use of me. I've been out the loop for modding as a whole for about a year and a half, but I'm eager to get back into it, with the delicious tools offered by Warcraft 3, and the huge community or people and resources. I have experience with Starcraft Map making... I'd spent many weeks doing maps, triggers, campaigns and so on, so I have a background to build upon. Most recently I began a scenario after digging up a WFRP (Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay) campaign that my brother must have written about 8 years ago. I'm excited by the increased power of WorldEditor, as opposed to ye olde Starcraft builder. Half the reason I'm making this post. I have some experience with 3D modelling... I did a couple of Half Life models (Death's Head from 2000AD and a Succubus), but never skinned them... that was about 3-4 years ago. I'd more recently been involved in modding for a game called Total Annihilation Kingdoms, and am part of a 3rd party group there.. but the game has finally grown old on me, and I'm being drawn further into Warcraft 3... My strengths lie in graphics... ie still art, and creative plot writing. I've a background in Role-playing, wargaming, play-by-emails, and so on, so I have a wide, varied knowledge base of both fantasy and Science Fiction. For you team leaders, here's a quick list.. in relation to the groups I've seen on these forums: Fantasy: 14 years of Warhammer; that includes pretty much all their games, including Space Hulk, but excluding Inquisitor (although I've watched various people play it at my old club, and have knowledge of the WH40k Universe). Obviously, Lord of the Rings No D&D, other than Ravenloft, sorry. (Lord Soth fan) Sci-Fi: I love Stargate, but don't have the resources or extensive knowledge of the guys making that mod. Umm, Starwars, Ster-trek, Bablyon 5 ---- My preference is Fantasy, especially as Warcraft is obviously Fantasy itself. I'm eager and willing to try my hand at any aspect of Modding, and Campaign design/making. I am a Computing student at University, and have good peseverance and ability, most especially when it comes to hobbies ;) Gosh, sounds like a freaking job application.. heck, it is! Oh, I do sigs too. |
