How make a MDX file?

when you make a skin,you can save it lake a BLP file but when you do that you must convert a unit in your map.the problem are that im dont know to do my skin lake a custom unit?? :bgrun:

What the heck are you trying to say? Look at one of the tutorials. The only convertion you have to do is .tga to .blp...

so you want to keep all the normal skins in game, yet have your own custom skin in there also?

Oh... if you're trying to keep old skins in the game and still have your own, you need to do some .mdl editing to change the file path of the model's skin. THere should be a tutorials here somewhere for that... or at least a post.

EDIT: I also believe that you would have to copy the .mdx of one unit and rename it something else, so that you have two seperate models each with their own skin. Then change one to .mdl, change skin path name to the path of your skin, change back to .mdx, and import

does it show up ingame? sometimes the world editor doesn't read the model at first...try saving then close the WE and see if it shows up...

it work to put in a downloaded skin , but not my own :sorc: , but im happy for that im can put in a downloaded skin :foot:
