Well, I try to keep some dignity as a skinner, and I keep it by asking this: What do you consider CNP? When I skin, I completely redo some parts, where as some parts I CNP then completely re-edit to make it look different, and better. I mean, is it CNP is you add 10-20% opacity over it, retexture it (for the general color) then reshade the layer underneath? This is probably a matter of opinion, since it isn't etched in stone. [fyi im in no way a supporter of recolor/cnp... only recolor i stand for was my friend's first ever use of any gfx design program, then I made his *** retexture it all :ggani: ] |

Generally if you don't CNP, or make it unnoticable, people will accept your work more. It's sad to know, but usually true. The noobs who don't know how to do anything but CNP will shout "CNP!!! UR A NOOB!!!" when they see something that looks CNP. I mean, sometimes you have to recolor, and it doesn't make sense to redraw something that you already want. You can keep your dignity as a skinner, just by producing good looking skins, even if they are CNP. After all, you have the skill to skin. |

CnP is copying something of something else and putting it on a new thing. CnPing your own stuff is ok, but CnPing off something else without permission is kinda lame IMO. |
