Im trying to make a custom spell for a character but somethings not working right. I basically took the Impale spell, made copies of the models and re-named them, (The models work fine), Now i go into ability editor and under Art-Special substituted... "Impale <Special>,Impale (Neutral Hostile) <Special>" with my new model... "war3mapimported\IcePillarsMissTarget.mdx" under Art-Effect i put "war3mapimported\IcePillarsHitTarget.mdx" and the same under Art-Target This is how it came out in-game... |

The "IcePillarsMissTarget.mdx" model shows as it should, and the "IcePillarsHitTarget.mdx" model shows as the origional, even though the path on my model points to another texture. Am i missing something here ? or do i have to edit an slk file or something ? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. |

You'd run across the same problem if you tried to edit the model for Fan of Knives. Why? Cause it used more than one model. Impale uses multiple models in it's action. The first and most prominent model is the line of spikes. This is the one you successfully extracted and edited. Then there is the second model, which shows up right beneath the feet of each unit tossed into the air by the spell. This model is separate from the first, and must be edited in kind. I'd give you the exact path, but WC3 is on my other computer. Just browse around in Spawned Effects or the other misc. folders and you'll find it. |

The Impale spike art, I belive, is considered a buff, so you'll need to edit the UndeadAbilityFunc.txt file if you want to change it. |

he could just import the new model under the origional one's path. |
