I more or less lack the software needed to create or edit models (have an older version of 3ds max) but I've started to work on creating skins for a few custom maps. One of which could use a slight bit of help, perhaps, if the model I was skinning had a certain feature removed. I'd show the current skin but it's not quite finished yet (this request has a lot to do with that) but I'll just say it's a bit of a 'harem dancer' unit. However, the base model I'm using is the Units\Demon\Demoness type (or DemonessBlue). Eh, of course, it's the 'wings' that are a problem (they're the team color source on the demoness model, of course), tho they MIGHT actually look good with the flamboyant nature of this unit (I made their textures looking 'colorful' by utilizing the team color patch on them). Still, I'd perhaps like to see if the unit looks better w/out the wings. Are there any modelers out there who could remove them for me (off both demoness and demonessblue models, I guess, even tho they're identical) without too much trouble? Psy D (apologies if this is in the wrong forum, move it if necessary) |

It can easily be done by yourself... :) Us Yoguls to convert the MDX to MDL, then open it and go to the textures. There will be something like this: Image "" ReplaceID 1 remove ONLY 'replaceID 1' So the teamcolor will be removed. Now you can alpha out the wings. :) |
